Vegetarian Dinner and Beer Pairing with Dan Shelton


A very special thanks to Shelton Brothers Importers and all the folks who made it out to our Vegetarian Dinner and Beer Pairing with Dan Shelton. Dan was full of great anecdotes, and spoke directly to his love for well-made and flavorful session-strength beers.

Dan brought Tuatara Pilsner, which echoed the finish of Taras Boulba and presented two interpretations of Saaz hops. Also on hand was Theillier La Bavaisienne (an amber biére de garde) and Blaugies Saison d'Epeautre, both of which were crisp, refreshing, and under 5% ABV. For dessert, we had the Dieu de Ciel Péché Mortel, a fantastic coffee stout which Jimmy kept drinking all night!

Ray Deter of d.b.a and Dave Brodrick of Blind Tiger were in attendance, and stayed on after the dinner to drink other Shelton Brothers gems like Jolly Pumpkin Oro de Calbaza and Dieu de Ciel Equinoxe du Printemps. Truly a great night for New York City craft beer!
