A week ago, Heartland Brewery had a kick off party for its Imperial Smiling Pumpkin Ale at Jimmy's No. 43. The event was attended by more than a few thirsty artists whose chosen medium is pumpkin. That's right. We're talking a pumpkin carving contest. Jon Bloostein of Heartland Brewery, David Katleski, President of the NYS Brewer's Association and Nina Zagat were the judges. Tim and Nina Zagat had stopped in to say hi and Nina jumped into pumpkin judging action! There were a lot of great entries, but there can be only one winner.
And here's the winning entry- a fabulously detailed pumpkin by Paul Frasco. I think we can all agree it captures the mood of the evening! Thanks to all who participated and congratulations Paul!
